Who is career coaching intended for?

For managers and self-employed entrepreneurs who want to grow in their role, increase their impact, and strengthen their resilience. They aim to leverage their talents, enhance their leadership skills and seek greater balance and fulfilment in their career.

For employees at all levels and across all sectors who want to gain more energy from their work and better utilise their full potential. They want to explore and strengthen their career prospects, work values and skills, and are seeking greater job satisfaction.

For individuals over 50 who want to capitalise on their experience, strengthen their resilience and contribute with energy. Career coaching offers new growth opportunities, works preventively against burnout and helps them stay strong alongside younger generations.

When do organisations choose Individual Career Coaching?

Our work occupies an important place in our lives, making it crucial for people to experience fulfilment, enjoyment, and direction in what they do. Career coaching provides this space—for employees at all levels and for managers who want to reflect on their talents, motivations, and sources of energy. It helps them make conscious choices and shape the next step in their career in a healthy way.

An individual programme supports taking or regaining control, recognising stress signals, and strengthening resilience, especially during periods of pressure or change. Organisations invest in this to stimulate growth and prevent burnout. Entrepreneurs also find it a powerful moment for reflection, helping them stay sharp, set boundaries and act focused on the future.

Career coaching is particularly valuable during transitions, such as:

What does a career coaching programme look like?

An individual programme is a process consisting of several steps.

Part 1: Intake Conversation (30 minutes)

  • Gain insight into your specific career questions
  • Explanation of the programme

Part 2: Career Coaching Programme

  • Approximately two weeks after the intake conversation, the coach and coachee meet for the actual coaching sessions. There are five sessions, each lasting 1.5 hours, spaced about one month apart. Ideally, these sessions take place at the coach’s home. If this is not possible, the coachee should book a private meeting room with no outside view.

Part 3: Follow-up Conversation

  • Each programme concludes with a follow-up conversation in which progress relative to the initial objectives is discussed and documented. Next steps are also determined during this session. If the client is an organisation, the coachee’s manager is involved in the conversation.

Your coach with expertise in Career Coaching

At Coaching The Shift, you work with seasoned trainers who are not only ICF-certified (PCC or MCC level) but also experts at quickly building trust with both groups and individuals. They provide participants not just with knowledge, but also demonstrate how to create trust in any collaboration. Because our trainers are also experienced coaches, they work not only on behaviour and skills but also on underlying values and beliefs. This way, participants learn how to strengthen trust—within themselves, within their team and in collaborations with clients and partners.

Christine Esteingeldoir

Christine supports organisations in improving performance and strengthening relationships within teams. She works as a coach, trainer and facilitator in the fields of leadership and team development. Her approach is rooted in self-awareness and reflection. Christine is an accredited ICF trainer (Level 1 & 2) and works with tools such as Insights Discovery and the Enneagram. She is also a supervisor and peer group facilitator in the training of ICF-certified coaches. She guides teams on themes such as trust, communication and change, and empowers leaders to motivate others and achieve results. Her style is structured, creative and impactful.

Johan Van Eeckhout

Johan guides leaders through the leap of a lifetime. As a sparring partner and “parachutist,” he helps them strengthen their leadership with a fresh perspective and new approaches. Together, they thoroughly prepare for the jump so they land as conscious, decisive leaders with lasting impact. In contexts such as growth, conflict, change or mergers, he works with leaders and teams to build resilience, clarity and connection. With over 25 years of business and management experience, 1,700 hours of individual coaching, 1,200 hours of team coaching and 3,600 hours of training, he is an experienced change catalyst who helps executives build authentic relationships and enhance performance.

Dorothée Willems

Driven by her deep belief in a new leadership paradigm, Dorothée joined Coaching The Shift. She has grown into an inspirer, co-leader, and sounding board for Magaly. Dorothée is highly valued for her holistic perspective, rich life experience and expertise as a trainer and coach. She approaches leadership through the connection between body and mind, believing that authentic leadership begins with self-awareness. Marijke Van Moldergem

Marijke is a Master Certified Coach with over 4,000 coaching hours, guiding leaders at all levels with a gentle yet decisive approach focused on awareness, resilience, and sustainable change. Specialising in change and leadership themes, she believes every change is an opportunity to grow. She brings theory to life with practical examples and fosters self-awareness, leading to lasting behavioural change. With over 20 years of corporate experience, including 10 years as HRD Manager at TNT Express and a rich training portfolio, she quickly understands the challenges leaders and their organisations face.

Eva Declercq

Eva is fascinated by the interaction between people, tasks, and the (work) environment. She focuses on collaboration, team dynamics, (personal) leadership, motivation, perfectionism, stress and burnout. With a background in psychology and marketing, and years of experience as a manager in the recruitment and staffing sector, she connects effortlessly with a wide range of teams and organisations. As a coach, she is non-judgemental and respectful, yet unafraid to mirror and challenge. As a team coach, she quickly senses group dynamics and identifies what is needed for growth.
