At a certain point, I found too little satisfaction in my career. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but I felt an emptiness — a lack of fulfillment — and started thinking about which direction I could still take. I could see myself doing a dozen other jobs, started checking job postings every day, and looked up information about training programs. My head was full, and I really needed some guidance and support. My partner and friends wanted to see me motivated and happy, but they couldn’t make the decision for me.
A friend suggested I contact a career coach, and that’s how I ended up with Ann Ghesquière from Sterk op je Werk. After just the second session, things started to become clearer. We listed my strengths and weaknesses, and because she asked the right questions and guided me throughout the entire exploration process, it became clear that I actually loved my current job. I realized I didn’t need to look too far, but rather make some changes within my own field. I’m very grateful to her for her kind and professional approach.
